Antler Asks: Monikh Dale
Antler speaks to London based Monikh Dale about how travel is a chance to seek the sun, explore new destinations, and savour the moment.
Welcome to Antler Asks, a series where we delve into the travel styles, inspirations, and tips from those who travel often. For over 110 years, Antler has been travelling the world, designing quality luggage to accompany every journey. Now, we want to hear from those who, like us, embrace travel as a means of connection – to ourselves, to each other, and to the places we encounter.
In this installment of Antler Asks, we catch up with Monikh Dale. London-based and with roots in city living, Monikh finds joy in seeking the sun, feeling the warmth, and the simple pleasures of being with her family. In contrast to the fast-paced lifestyle of this renowned fashion stylist, travel is a chance for Monikh to slow down and savour the moment, whether it’s exploring new destinations or revisiting familiar favourites.

Antler: What does travel mean to you?
Monikh: Travel, for me, is about exploration and taking a break from the everyday to make cherished memories with my family.
Who is your favourite person to travel with and why?
Is it cheating if I choose two people? Without a doubt, my husband and my daughter. Life moves so quickly, and it’s the best feeling to hit pause and travel somewhere together without a schedule. Just us three, in the moment.

What is your most memorable travel experience?
Our first trip as a family of three to Palma, Mallorca. We packed everything, like, way too much—every emergency item you can imagine—but it was worth it to have the comfort for those ‘what if’ moments. We revisited our favourite spots, caught up with friends, and enjoyed the familiar vibe of our usual holiday, this time with the delightful addition of our baby.
What is your best travel and/or packing tip?
Use packing cubes! They keep me so much more organised, making unpacking and repacking a lot easier. Trust me—a game-changer when travelling with family.

London, LA or NYC?
London. There’s no place like home, and London has a unique charm that always draws me back.
Are you a light traveller or an over-packer?
I used to be a chronic over-packer, but since my family has grown and I’ve had to sacrifice space for my own things, I’ve learned the art of smart packing. I will wear an outfit twice (if not more), maybe for a day and then an evening—switched up with accessories to create new looks without overstuffing my suitcase.

What is one place you would always go back to?
We love Palma. We usually stay at Can Bordoy, a place that feels like a home away from home. The flights are super quick [from London], we know we love the food and the area; it’s very chilled and the perfect family destination for a little ‘us’ time.
