About Us
Gail Fynn's fascination with antlers began while vacationing in Wisconsin in 1975.Upon entering a wilderness shop, she became fascinated by the stacks of loose antlers lying about. It was here that she learned antlers are naturally shed anually. A sudden penetrating desire came to her...perhaps, if she were clever enough, she could create fuctional works of art from these antler cast-offs. She bought all the antler sheds he had, and a dream was on it's way to becoming reality.
The smaller pieces such as antler lamps, antler candlestick holders, and antler bookends did not require much technical knowledge. Antler cocktail bases, designed for 3/4"thick glass and antler chandeliers were yet another matter. She consulted two engineers whose consensus was "It can't be done". Undaunted and firmly believing, "if you can think it, it can be done", she worked with furniture builders untill she developed the highest quality and most diverse collection of naturally shed antler lighting, furniture and accessories available in the marketplace.
Her designs are derived from shed mule deer, whitetail, elk, red deer, moose, caribu, reindeer, fallow, and Pere David antlers (hand made birchbark and rawhide shades additional).
